Has your ps3 froze from playing borderlands?

Mine has too.. i have the new 250gb ps3 slim. I've been playing the game for about 4-5 days so far, and it's only froze once, during the fight with Mad Mel(=P Get it?) It also started to get a little laggy during a firefight once too. I'm wondering how/if I can even fix this problem.
