Percocet and constipation?

I know it's a little bit of an unpopular topic but I could use some info from people who've taken percocet. I had knee surgery a week ago and the pain has steadily gotten worse, not a fan of pain pills but I'd prefer them over the ungodly pain from not taking them. I've only dropped the kids off at the pool once in 8 days. I can't find much on the internet that really points to the pills but I'm almost positive it's them. Anybody familiar with this who can shed some light?
